Mazaré, who attends New City Fellowship in University City, is gifted with the ability to use words of encouragement and prodding, and she does not hold back in the discussion of the culture of fear so prevalent in the way churches address controversial issues. Her words are so true: if we do not speak up, we will pay for our silence.
