South City Church has been such a formative place for me and my wife, Amanda. It’s the church where we met, it’s the church where we married, and it’s the church that walked with us through graduating from seminary.
Now, South City Church has hired me to be the church’s new Pastoral Apprentice. Amanda and I are thrilled to be able to stay and serve at South City, the church that has cared for us so well! All in all, my Pastoral Apprenticeship is meant to help me develop as a pastor through meaningful ministry experiences, biblical and theological study, and pastoral oversight and accountability. More specifically, my work is focused on overseeing our men’s ministry and caring for the nursing home residents of Beauvais Manor. Amanda is a NICU Unit Secretary at Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital, and we live in Maplewood with our dog Penzey (named after the spice shop).
While my position at South City Church is full-time, it is also 100% support-based. (One of the challenges of ministry in an urban context is that finances tend to be scarce.) Would you please consider becoming a part of our support team? All gifts are tax-deductible, and will be received and receipted by South City Church. Thank you!
